ENGLISH: Is There a Life Before Death? explores the beauty of existence through an intimate exchange between a grandfather and his grandson. As he approaches the end of his life, Claude speaks with his grandson Marius, who questions him about death. In response, he simply weaves the story of his own life. Through this intimate transmission, the film offers a sensitive reflection on the beauty of life, an awareness of time passing, and the acceptance of death as a natural part of existence, revealing the value of the present and the beauty of each moment lived.
FRENCH: Y a-t-il une vie avant la mort ? explore la beauté de l’existence à travers un échange intime entre un grand-père et son petit-fils. À l’approche de la fin de sa vie, Claude échange avec son petit-fils Marius, qui l’interroge sur la mort. Il lui répond simplement, en tissant le récit de son propre parcours. À travers cette transmission intime, le film propose une réflexion sensible sur la beauté de la vie, la conscience du temps qui passe et l’acceptation de la mort comme une part naturelle de l’existence, révélant la valeur du présent et la beauté de chaque instant vécu.
